He was burying himself in his books, trying to figure out a way to bring Isabel back. If Sam's vision and Peter's painting were accurate, there was some way to do it and he was determined to find it.

After his classes, instead of heading back to his room, Johnny headed up another floor to talk to Chris. Not about anything specific, just to see how he was doing and whatnot.

He knocked twice, waiting to see if he was in.

"Who is it?" Chris called.

He wasn't feeling particularly sociable, plus there was the whole agreement he, Wyatt and Peter made not to tell anyone what happened yet.

"It's Johnny," he called out.

Chris sighed. He didn't really want to do this, but Johnny deserved to know what was going on.

He got up and opened the door, letting Johnny in before closing it again.

"What's up?" he asked.

Johnny might notice that Chris was looking pretty rough around the edges and that there were more books than usual spread around the room.

Summer knew something wasn't right. Chris was way into research mode. And, well, he seemed upset. "So, you gonna tell me what's going on?"

Chris sighed. He hated keeping secrets from Summer.

"... I can't."

Summer nodded. "I thought you'd say that."

"I'm sorry," Chris said. "It's just that we're trying to fix it."

Lana stopped by sometime after her Ethics class. It hadn't been the best of days already and she was worried that Chris, who never missed a class, hadn't shown up for Conflict Management. She knocked on the door, not too loudly in case he was sick again and trying to rest.

"Who is it?" Chris called out, sounding annoyed at the distraction.

Lana seriously considered just fleeing back to her room for a moment. This had not been the best of days and it was barely lunchtime.

Then she took a deep breath and pulled herself together. "It's Lana," she said quietly. "I was worried about you. Should I let you be and check in later?"

Chris sighed and rubbed his temples. "You can come in," he called, purposely softening his tone.
