"How (NOT) to Hire an Artist"

Spreading this from Jesskat on DA. Pass it on.

Pretty sickening. Though, really, I've read this guy's comments...and he just seems pretty stupid to me. How can you NOT read your article and realize how conceited it sounds, AND consider yourself "professional"? Bad insight...there's NO insight. Fucktard.

This actually reminds me of a journal entry on DA that I read perhaps a year or two ago now about how people on Craig's List were wanting artists to work for them for free. Because they thought that getting an amateur to work for them meant that the artist didn't deserve to get paid when in all actuality, if we're working we should get paid. It's sick to see something like this, it really is.

Burns me really bad too. There are so many out there struggling (starving artist is a phrase for a reason) and to be taking advantage of people like this is wrong.

Definitely reposting this. The word needs to get out.

edited for grammar fail. derp.

The. Fooking. Bastard.

I'm one of those starving artists that never seems to be able to sell her work because she was never taught HOW, even in University! Then dickweeds like this dragon fellow screw us around because they're too cheap to pay for real work.

Ooooh, crowdog is NOT gonna like this story either.
