Dear Great Britain and parts of Mainland Europe:

It is winter.

Snow and ice and traffic and running out of salt/grit, making your way to work in crappy conditions ...these things happen during winter. I get that you're not used to it.

Hooray, hooray for the blanket of icy white!

(Coat, jacket, shirt, t-shirt, three pairs of socks and freezer bags below boots, cap, scarf, woolen gloves and armoured leather gloves... and then I try and move)

Haha! Tell me about it! Our guests are stuck in Newcastle and at Gatwick for the night because the UKs airports are closed, as are our local airports of Chambery, Grenoble and Lyon because they are all snowed in completely! Half of my flatmate's guests have spent the day sitting on the runway at Lyon for no reason at all! It is INSANE here - and this is a part of the world that gets ridiculous amounts of snow. Oh well, all the more powder for us to skiiiiii! Guests aren't arriving until lunchtime, so we're catching first lifts, skiing back to the chalet to greet them with our uniforms over our ski pants, then more skiing and late in for dinner because it's all ready!

Ooh, I want to come stay with you! Even if my knees can't take skiing anymore! :( I miss it. But since I ruined my left leg, I jsut can't do it anymore. Oh well, I could come for the food! :D
