Kids Halloween Costumes

The kids partially dressed up this weekend for Rollerskating & people wanted to see thier costumes so here they are:

Athena is a 'Sesame Street' type of monster a la "Zoe" on there: she loves Sesame Street even though she hardly sees it because I don't let the kids watch tv hardly at all ~ She picked out her horns & dress!

Aurora also picked out her own outfit & I think she was inspired by Japanese animations which often feature strong women fighting with swords & still looking beautiful with long flowing hair & pretty dresses: she likes being strong & stealthy & still considered as a girl & not get teased about "boy costumes" vs "girl costumes" _ she figured out the perfect balance by making the skirt addition instead of pants & by picking a ninja sword with a hot pink sheath & handle (hilt, guard & pommel) (she got it at the Circus)

Oh, my! Such awesome costumes! I love the glowing horns and the pink sword.

yeah - as far as I know! I have it on my calendar as 6-7:30 ish (*8pm is LOST : heh heh)- plus the kids need to get to bed; so I'm going to feed them & hopefully they'll be dined & full at 6pm when or around then when you get to my house, right? It's 6408 Newton if you don't have my address memorized yet! Lol; under the watertower if you are at Penn & hwy 62 that's a quick way to find me. ;)

PS: the horns are not "light up" but made of that cool reflective material: so the flash light (& anyother lights) shine off the horns like that; it's really cool-looking.

Both the girls will have a few glow sticks on tonight for trick or treating though! *grin*
