here's a bee I took a photo of ; the bees are getting kinda sluggish with the cold, so it's even easier to photograph them now:

i like the third one best.

they eyes are really clear in that one, aren't they? can't see the pretty wing patterns, or some aspects of the legs or the fuzzy fuzz but it's the best of the bee's eyes...

Thank you - did you find a better way to photograph your beads yet? It seems like you get great shots, but I know you had expressed some frustration with the process... hope you figured out a better process since then?

I got a very small, table-top tripod which I like: it keeps the shots steadier. So far, so good with that. :)
