that would not have been too bad to understand, were it not for all the hiccups!

i agree that it seems pretty shady of him to show up with a girl, but not even tell her that you existed, or that he knew you!

Haha...yeah...I had hiccups hard-core last night!

yeah...what hurt me the most was that he didn't even tell this girl "hey, let's go to my friend lynette's show"...she had no idea who I was, and I was the one who had to introduce myself to her. Why didn't he bring his brothers, who I have met before, or his other friend that I knew? I'm still fuming about that this morning! Grrr!!!

Oh Lynette! I tried to listen to this but I always have difficulty understand LJ voice posts. :[ I'm sorry! I see from the above comments that Dave was an ass from the looks of it! I hope you're okay!

I can't wait till you come and we get to hang out. It's going to be sooo fun! All of my friends are stoked about 80's night and meeting you so it's going to be a gong show! I think you'll have a blast. And who knows....maybe there will be a hawt Canadian boy just waiting for you with arms wide open!

Love you darling! I'm so sorry I've been away from LJ lately! xoxoxoox

I was drunk, slurring my words, and hiccuping, so I am sure it didn't make sense! Ha!

What hurt me about the Dave situation was that he didn't even tell this girl "hey, let's go see my friend Lynette's art show"...she had no idea who I was, he didn't even introduce me to her, I had to, and so that made me even more suspicious. I was cool being friends, but if are not up front and honest, that's going to piss me off. Ugh. Well, I am too busy to worry about that crap anyway, and soon I will be dancing the night away with you great Canadians!! I worry a little that people are not going to like me being an American and all, is that weird? Also, how do I exchange my American money for Canadian? All these little questions popping up :)

Hahaha, awww! Don't drink and voice post! ;]

So he was all like, "let's go to an art show" but deigned to mention to the girl that you were his friend? Weird! Is he trying to hook up with her? Or was he still smarting over you asking him about his sexuality? Regardless, that was rude of him! :[

You have nothing to worry about with being the only American in our group. We're all going to be so hyped to be dressing 80's and being silly. I can't see anyone even commenting on it let alone holding it against you! It's not like you were part of George W. Bush's team! Hehe! Plus we're Canadians! Remember how we're the nicest people evuh?

I went to my bank to exchange my Canadian money for American so I bet you could do the same. Either in your home town or once you cross the border.

That's what I'm assuming...he didn't introduce me, for one...I'm thinking he would say "this is my friend Lynette, this is her art show" or something along those lines. When I introduced myself, she didn't say "oh, you are the artist"...she clearly had no idea who I was. From what he told me, they were friends for years...and she was living in Europe for a while and just moved back...but also had said something like he had to pretend he was her boyfriend in the past to get rid of an ex...so I don't know. But when he says he's been "so busy" lately...it's clear he has been spending alot of time with her because he said so. Hmm...good point...maybe he IS parading her around to convince himself he's not gay. Never thought of it that way ( ... )
