I was over visiting my latest obsession guilty pleasure when it hit me...

The reason that Vanished seems so cardboard is that we never see Gale have any personal side to his life. In particular, the writers/directors have totally abandoned one of Gale's greatest talents Kissing! his ability to make us believe that the character he is playing is a ( Read more... )

next week looks like he's got @ least 1 mayb more scenes w/ his daughter so hopefully something good will come out of them

Great point..you should copy FOX head Liguori on that..or the Vanished creative team Berman/Redford/Kettner especially since when the pilot was picked up they sold it as a character-driven show not a plot-driven show..and it seems just the opposite. Looks like with next week's previews he has a scene with his daughter...and in promo-photos he is having a drink in a bar..with Nash of all people.

Not only that, but we got to watch Noxema Girl in bed with her photographer. Like we shiv a git! I wanna see Kelton in bed, and at this point, I don't care who with.

BTW, he has a desk. He was at it when he spoke with the vanished chick's parents. Then again, maybe it was someone else's desk. Hmmm...
