4th Wall Event! Overlord's Ball!
In an enormous and incredibly, amazingly, over-pricedingly decorated ballroom stood Overlord Baal's Prinny vizier, Scrooge McDood, and his head bodyguard, Yojimbo. With some very expensive brandy in his hand, the Prinny took a sip and groaned, miserable. He had been complaining the entire night about how ridiculously expensive the party was. Despite Overlord Baal having nearly limitless money and power, his accountant was still very, very obsessive over not spending more than necessary. Yojimbo did his best to alleviate his employer's worries, but it did little good; drowning himself in booze would be the only way to make himself feel better.
It was Overlord Baal's ball! Only the best would suffice, even if the Supreme Overlord himself never showed up. The room was literally large enough to hold thousands of people and it was already filling by the hundreds. Demons from all over the Netherworld found themselves magically transported here. The newscast, the Senators, the hospital staff--everyone was gradually appearing! All in costume, as well, per Overlord Baal's orders.
Tables were all over the room: half were dining tables for the guests and the other half were buffet tables lined with literally every food in the multiverse. The decorations were astounding and nearly limitless! Soon, more than only demons would begin appearing and the Overlord's kidnapping victims would begin pouring in. McDood would be greatly frustrated if any of them caused damage to the incredibly expensive party.
Which, of course, made him guzzle down even more brandy. Good thing Prinnies probably don't have livers, right?
((This is a magical ball! No, not the Disney kind. Characters--both resident to the Netherworld and visiting for the event--can be spontaneously transported to and from this party which will be lasting the entirety of the event. It's held in a magical ballroom (Baalroom?) hidden somewhere in the castle, so the only way to arrive is to be spirited away! Characters can arrive at different times and come-and-go sporadically.
Assume the tables of food literally have anything your character could want! Assume generic demons are all over the place! Assume any sort of decoration you want! Characters native to the Netherworld, use this opportunity to build up some CR!
COSTUMES ARE DECIDED BY THE PLAYER! It doesn't matter if a costume would be out-of-character for a character to wear: players decide the costume for them to wear under the preomise of Overlord Baal's magic forcing them into it.))
