Okay, here are some thoughts on the movie besides "WOW." I have put spoily thoughts in another journal that I'll link to at the end of this for those who have seen the movie, but all the stuff in this journal is spoiler free.
this. THIIIIIS. man you hit every nail on the head that I've thought about this movie.
Like the backlash it's going to get from oversensitive people, and yes, JUST like Wall-E. man I just really hate people who can't sit back and enjoy something as wonderful as these movies, but instead feel the need to get all angry about it.
AAAAAND, man I did enjoy PatF more than Up too. but you put it perfectly, it's near impossible to compare Disney to anything but Disney. the Pixar groupie inside of me had a little bit of a hard time admitting that I loved PatF more though :c
Seriously, go see this. Walt would be proud. Agree'd, wholeheartedly. I read a review not to long ago that stated something along the lines of PatF having the potential to do for Disney what Little Mermaid did in '89. So yes, I think this movie is definitely a perfect portrayal of what Disney is at its core.
Heck, that's not to insult Meet the Robinsons (I love this film and will probably never understand why other people don't)ALSO THAT. I'm glad to find someone
( ... )
I think a lot of people are slowly admitting they liked PATF more. It's almost evened out. I still can't believe it. I mean, I was like "...Better than Up TIME? NAHHHHHHH NO WAI. 8|"
Oh man, if this ushers in another Disney Renaissance that'd be AMAZING.
I honestly can't believe it myself. I can't count how many times I said "okay, this is interesting... but man, NO WAY it's gonna be better than Up. Not even close. >8|"
Okay. NOW I'm interested. I mean, I've been interested in this movie for the last three years, but now I'm SERIOUSLY wondering what I'm in for on Christmas Day 2009. I knew I was gonna love this movie from the start, but if what everyone's saying is true I might have a new favorite movie of all time soon. :O
