HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! 25, is it? Have lots of fun with your friends and your familiy, and eat cake and drink till you get all fuzzy-brainded. ;) Hehehe. And Mary-Sue-dom in one's own creations. *grins* I have the wee little devils parading through my novels as well, but I hope to kill them off one by one... Or at least tame them a bit, so they won't wreak so much havoc. But I think some people worry a bit too much. If you have Sue-ishness in your writing, it doesn't necessarily have to be all too bad, I guess. I don't think people will mind much if everything is fresh, new and interesting. And there are some communities out there who might analize your creatures for you. If you'd like to do that, that is. oc_analysis would be one of those communities. Maybe if you'd like to let some of the members there take a look at your creations, before you go ahead and slash them all to bits. =D
Anyway. Enough about this. Wouldn't want to fill your head with Sue on your b-day. Yet again: have fun, and enjoy your day.
Thankee! :D Yepp, 25, oh everyone was snowed in. (More liked iced actually.) So, it was just a quiet day at home for me.
And don't worry, I haven't needed to tear any of my characters apart. lol Nor anything else. :) I only had one culture that rather had become too perfect sounding in my description, but I wasn't done fleshing it out yet and had been trying to decide what the most logical and appropriate cons would be for a while now.
Thinking about Mary-Sue's just made me decide to star an organized list of characters, cultures, etc. and what their pro's and cons are. So that it is clear and concise. It's actually been fun.

Mary Sues/Gary Stus are so bad. Eragon definitely qualifies.
