Last night my other half was watching that car repair programme on Channel 4, or one of its minions. And at the top left-hand corner of the screen, ever-present and immovable, there was a nasty nagging little message telling us to Stay At Home

Do you have friends you can talk to online or by phone? Does your local healthcare service offer you counselling services by phone? Or a neighbour? A golfing friend of mine has been talking to his actual, physical neighbours probably for the first time in his life (he claims his wife had to introduce them!) at what he calls 'two golf-clubs' length.

You're obviously suffering rather badly from being at home, and perhaps talking to someone might help.

The more they say stay at home the more I wish I'd the means to go out! Do they want us all to go mad or suffer vitamin deficiency?
