SNOW DAY

For the first time since January of 1979 the University is closing due to the weather. I didn't actually even have class today, but this gets me out of several hours worth of meetings. I can actually walk to campus, but I walked just down the stairs of my apartment building and had snow up to the top of my boots

Ewwww! I don't like snow. But I wouldn't mind having off work.

I got a snow day today too at the Middle School that I work at. Last week we had two "snow" days because it was too cold out.

My school district called them "calamity days" for just that reason. When I was in high school, the only days we got off in the four years were when the electricity was out for the whole district. So it wasn't even fun to stay home.
