But what do you do about the pain?

It just doesn't seem worth all the trouble of the pain that comes with making friends here.

You let it heal. As for here, or where we come from, it's all the same really. One never knows how long they have with the people they care for, so it's important to enjoy the time we do share together.

[Taking notice, he simply watches back, and ceases his own swinging before speaking to her.]

"Hello. You had a look I was familiar with, but, I didn't want to bother you."

[Sasaki is going home after exploring some of the stores she hasn't been in before, mostly for the sake of thoroughness. Approaching her home on Mitchell Road, she spots the plate-throwing boy.]

[Ness looks up as the tears seem to have just started flowing. The plate cracks and flies into shards and slivers along the asphalt. SH-SHUT UP! WHO ASKED YOU?!

[Sasaki frowns mildly.]

No one, I was offering my opinion on my initiative. Also, it looked like you might throw it at me next. [Sasaki doesn't point out that her approaching might have actually increased the probability of this occurrence, but she thinks it.]

And really, those brownies looked rather tasty. I don't understand why people let their emotions do things like this to them.

[He could see from the distance between them that his tantrum could have been a potential threat to some one innocent, and that being the last thing he would ever want, just made him feel more sour.]

Who cares about stupid brownies and cookies?! You give me a better way to feel about losing some one, and maybe I'll stop acting this way, okay?!
