I wonder when people will realize that the "scene" has become homogeneous. It's full of 14 year old girls with uneven bangs, black and white striped shirts, and tattered low-top black Chuck Taylors, who swoon over homosexual kissing and pathetic whiny lyrics and overuse the symbols ( Read more... )

Yeah, after reading that it kind of makes me sad
Sorry for those people
Because it all seems so...empty
There's nothing meaningful behind it, it's not like they're starting a ground-breaking revolution of some kind of anything

And practically everyone I know including myself have done/said/worn "scene" things, but we can all just laugh about it and not take it seriously, because I mean come on, I'm gonna still like Spice Girls and Converse even if it's the most annoying trend ever. I just like what I like.

I enjoyed reading that though :}

LOLOLOLZ. It's so true.

Now if those kids read this, they will change, because suddenly it's uncool to be "scene".

I've known this for a while now, this isn't news to me. It's everyone trying to be original or weird...just making weird the new trend. It doesn't stand for much in other people's eyes but hey, all teenagers need to fill that sense of belonging and with the "scene" how can you go wrong. Suddenly everything a lot of us loved before it all became the "scene" thing to do was embraced by girls with horendous eyeshadow and boys with bandanas, which is upsetting but I'll still love my chuck taylors and bright clothing after the "scene" fades and the silly 14 year olds grow out their ugly mullets and find a new group that will accept them.

lol mike, urban dictionary much !
