So to distract and envigorate myself I've been having a think about January going-out plans. So far, Planet Zogg (23rd January- Sheffield) and Astrix & Friends 004 (30 January - The Q Club In Birmingham) are in my diary.
Their next will be February, they haven't announced the date yet but it's going to be either Saturday the 21st or 28th. I plan a recruitment drive for this :-)
I reckon they might have one by the end of the year. From my experiences I'm still not *too* keen on clubbing in the city, but I'm interested to see the kind of atmosphere at Astrix, as I really wasn't impressed by the people when I saw him in London... I think Birmingham could actually be better there.
If Astrix is playing in the Indigo2 and not at Brixton Academy the people might be VERY different... I've seen Mushroom in Brixton and last year in Indigo2 and the crowd was worlds better in the latter.
January traditionally is the month where NOTHING ever happens party-wise... at least in London. Might do some more cultural stuff if I find something interesting.

If I go see Astrix it's going to be in London. Wasn't too impressed by him last time, tho, so the jury's still out on that one.
Wow, that really is a step-up for Birmingham. We are actually getting some decent nights round here for a change, is good! =) I should be around for 30th, if you wish to steal crash space you are most welcome. I should be going to a burlesque night, but Q-club could be tempting as an after-event. x
