This might seem strange, but are you sure it was 'deliberate'?
I'm just asking since you called it a 'random act of behavior'... I'm just wondering if something's wrong?
I used to have a Rottie, who suddenly took to peeing in the house.. turned out he had some type of UTI.

We had a male dog who did this. He wasn't neutered. He was marking his territory. So you may need to get him neutered that might help some. Call the vet and ask their thoughts on it.

like i told you before, he needs to be neutered. my dog used to pee on my bed like..1-2 times a week. totally disgusting, right? after he was neutered, he completely stopped doing it. he's marking his territory. i actually saw something about this on a show i was watching last week..the lady said dogs do this to cover the scent of the owners.

it's very important to have him neutered for many reasons, not only to get him to stop peeing on your bed! it will most likely calm him down in the long run. and it's very beneficial to his health. neutering adds YEARS to a dog's life. and it elmininates the chance of him making more puppies, which is awesome.

have it done ASAP! check your local ASPCA or humane society. they usually provide this service at a much lower cost than a vet would. it would probably be a good idea to have them keep him overnight (some places automaticly do this, some don't) so he has some time to recover away from your kids.

Thanks hun. I have to convince my husband still. He doesn't want him too. But I think I can convince him. We don't have any plans to breed him at all, so that is fine.

Thanks ladies.
