(Going into linguistic technicalities, ignore me... Shounen ai is actually a phrase made up by Western/English-speaking anime fans. And I'm pretty sure that in Japanese, "shounen ai" means, er, little boy love. The phrase for gay love stories made for/by females would be boys love or BL. And "yaoi" isn't really used as often either... I mean, it is, but normally it's just labeled 18+ BL. I mean, if you're writing English fanfiction, of course one can use the pseudo-Japanese, but I'm just going off, 'cuz... I like showing off that I know stuff, basically. And maybe you want to know? I don't know. I'm going to shut up now. But really, I look forward to this story. Hence the evil laughter up there.)
