Hi girls!

So, if anyone’s seen my daily booth, I said I was going to talk about “The Demon’s Lexicon”. It’s by the author Sarah Rees Brennan, who has a very funny livejournal sarahtales  and she organised the castle that Maureen Johnson is currently at! The copy I have is an advanced reader’s copy, which I won in a competition, since the book is coming out in ( Read more... )

Erm, hi? I've been told to comment on pain of death, so... Yeah, I've been lurking around for a bit but I didn't want to impose on the nerdwriter-awesome-ness and you're all kinda scary to me, so... :P (And please don't be mean to Jen now?)

And as for the book... OMG you have to read it as soon as you can, it's made of awesome ^_^ seriously! (I won an ARC too :P) And Nick is awesome and Jamie is my favourite character and Mae is kinda pink and strange and Alan is bookshop guy and and and!!! (It comes out at the beginning of June in both America and England I think, if you wanted to know ^_^)

Okay, I'm tired and slightly strange so I'm just going to slink away and go back to lurking now :P

I don't think you can impose on nerdwriter-awesome-ness, only add to it.

Scary? Nah...ok I may be a little scary. I've been told it’s creepy in a good way, although the last bit may have just been hastily added so as not to hurt my feelings.

I can impose on nerdwriter-awesome-ness by not actually being a nerdwriter. Nerdfighter. Or whatever...

I think I freaked people out once, it was like sixth form induction day at school and I tried to talk to people and they all just looked at me weirdly. Though I've never had anyone actually say I'm creepy, so I think you win here ^_^

Hmm makes me think of the Bartimause Trilogy. I love thsoe books so it sounds awesome to me.
1. I can't think of any. I haven't had any time to read in forever. It's really sad actually.
2.Well It was for speech class so there's no real getting around it. It's pretty much the only class that I have to give presentations in though.
3. Yes,http://www.fmylife.com/. Actually part of my post was tomorrow going to be on my favorite websites...SHHH pretended I didn't say that!

Yea, it is a bit like the Bartimaeus Trilogy, although I think I prefered them to that trilogy, but it has been a long time since I last read them.

I really need to read those books! Cassandra Clare is one of Sarah Rees Brennan's writer friends I think, she's mentioned in the acknowledgements :).

:D I love how they're so silly looking and cute! Definitely the solution to a bad day.

I'm envious of your lack of presentations :P.

My sister and I just had a squee session over some of the baby animals. Baby meerkats are the cutest things ever invented.

1. Not really. =[
2. We don't really do them often at my school, but we do participate in Poetry Out Loud every year. That's always interesting. In their English classes, kids have to memorize a poem from poetryoutloud.org and recite it. Whoever does the best moves forward. We end up sending a kid to the State competition and I think this year or a couple years ago, I can't remember, our girl actually went to Nationals.
3. UHM, Dailybooth?!? Yeah, Dailybooth, Twitter, Livejournal, facebook, youtube. I'm pretty much addicted to the internet lately.

Oh wow, Poetry Out Loud sounds so much fun, I normally hate the idea of anything vaguely presentation related, but I LOVE memorising poems!

Hehe, Dailybooth is awesome, being able to comment with pictures is such a good idea.
