In medical news, all systems are nominal and auxiliary support hardware has been withdrawn. *whew*

Some banks have this one time use number feature where you can log into your account at their web site and generate a special credit card number that posts to your account that can only be used once. I use this whenever I have any possible reason to question the integrity of the site. I know Citi and Discover have this. It might be something to look into.

my mother was a victim to the tune of over $4k at best buy (no one at the place thought to ask the idiot for her ID, especially when she has "SEE ID" marked on the back...she had left it on the counter at a gas station in milwaukee and someone snatched it and charged all sorts of shit on it...when she got home 2 days later, chase had called and said they had frozen her account for there was such high activity that was abnormal...she had to sign the affidavit and get a new card, etc ( ... )

Thanks! I'm relieved that it's been so easy to get fixed, so far. Sorry about your mom, but glad she was able to get her money back.

yes, chase was REALLY good about it...they sent her a new card out express along with the affadavit form and the form was processed in about a week to ten days...that kind of service is hard to get!

Yeah our company jsut sent us brand new cards because there was some sort of compromise in the block of accounts that contained our cards...

so now i have to fix some account stuff

Why didn't they just call it retcon? There's already a word for it.

Retcon would definitely make more sense, since it's mostly restricted to comic books, but "respec" is a legacy term from the beginning of MMOGs and we're kind of stuck with it.
