i just stood up and said some stuff about how everyone there had food, a home, and an incredible education, and people in mexico dont have anything but maybe their family, and they give up that one thing that they do have, so that their children can have a better life. and here we are with everything, and clearly, any sacrafice we think we had to make to get here is nothing compared to what immigrants give up. and then i probably cried my way through saying that it is disgusting that we would make it illegal for people to feed, shelter, and educate their children. blah blah blah.
i steered clear of the ol "we were all once immigrants" speech because thats pretty much what everyone there said. i just wanted to make a fool of myself and point out that i was cryinging like a baby.

we didnt even realize that it was there until after we paid for it! we found the picker first and were totally confused, then we fugured out what it was, and found the delcious tree which hangs over our roof. avacado!
