Beautifully written...as most of your writing is. You made some points that I never would have thought of and will seriously make me think. One point I want to argue though is the lifeboats going back. I know they should have gone earlier than they did, but if they had gone right when the ship sank it probably would have led to more loss of life. The people drowning in the water would have grabbed onto the life boats and likely caused them to sink. That's all...but I still agree with your point. Beautiful remembrence.

that was a wonderful post :) Great job! You definitely brought out all of the magical parts of the Titanic and how it changed the course of history.

Beautifully written, Beth. The story of the Titanic inspires awe in every sense of the word. I'm crying right now.

Thank you for remembering one of the most tragic events in modern history. Unfortunately, soon there will be no one left who survived that night, and the only way to keep Titanic from fading away is to remember.

I still wonder - what would have happened if they made it to New York safely? Would some of the safety laws that we now take for granted still exist, or would things be different?

That's beautiful writing. I hope you don't mind that I followed you from fem_rage to your journal- I find that most of your views seem to be similar to mine. Mind if I add you? I'm a fellow buffy fanatic also ;)
