Writing Workshop

 So, for my English 268 class, we had to write essays.  4 of us got stuck with having about 4 days to write an essay to bring to workshop for everyone to read and critique.  To be honest, I was disappointed.  Some of the comments were.. I don't even know what to say about them.  Some were really good.  They were kind, honest and helpful.  Others

i feel like the kids in your class probably just wanted to sound smart and intelligent by coming up with some bullshit critiques, at least that's what it sounds like to me.

i think that the essay is really good and i really enjoyed reading it. it is obviously a first draft so i don't know why anyone would expect it to be perfect or without flaw in a workshop- especially since help and feedback are the point of workshops.
