Getting into radio...snesgirlJanuary 17 2011, 10:35:15 UTC
Is there a large hospital in your area? Try volunteering at their radio station.
Hospital radio is a good starting point with a guaranteed audience, and they always want people especially for the more unsociable hours.
Also do you have a university / college nearby - you can probably get a taster course in presenting a small (simple) show there, either free or at minimal cost.
You do have a very melodic voice, and a pleasant aural demeanour (so you talking feels like a conversation even though it's really not).
If you want to I suggest you get invested in radio, because even if it's only ever a hobby, it's another string to your bo (so to speak)

I've been thinking about taking some of the same voice classes my dad took when he started doing voice work. They're at night, so they'd fit my schedule well enough. It won't be in the near future, though, because I don't really have money for it just yet. I love the idea of doing voice work, but there's a lot more to being in radio than talking, and I'm not sure I'm really cut out for that kind of quick-thinking work.

You could always friend-lock your post like Trillian did, and then delete whatever you post after a day or two. The chances of anyone wanting to make a voiceprint of your voice are pretty slim, unless you're a secret government agent with high-level clearance. :D
