Call me a whaaambulance.

I had an accident where I trapped my hand and bent my wrist back a few days ago, and though I am certain it’s not broken, the joint is really inflamed and very painful if I extend or abduct it. My fingers aren’t majorly affected and it doesn’t ache anymore. But the shock reminder when I move it brings tears to my eyes. I can not use the wrist to ( Read more... )

Ouch! That sounds so painful! I hope you feel better soon!

I don't think you popped it out of place, but seeing someone about it may not hurt (no pun intended :B). They might give you useful things like braces and prescription-strength Ibu, or nothing but a pat on the back. Ohhh doctorsss.

Alsoalso this is Anne/Enaxn from dA. You drew me my awesome Eyecon and Swithbackocobo comishes. <3<3 I creepily found you on LJ and friended if that's okay with you. :3

Lol, Drs always used to give me a pat on the back and send me on my way without anything as a kid. XD Makes me not bother as an adult. I must give off this 'I'm totally fine' vibe. Luckily I work in pharmacy so I can get some pros to look at it at work tomorrow and buy something if I need to. But I reckon I've been doing the right thing with it so far and its feeling better this afternoon. Swelling has gone down a lot over night, but it still aches and pops during the day if I move it around. I'll wait and see if it improves or if the pharmacist suggests I take an hour off to see the GP.

I'm working slowly, but I'm nearly done laying down the flat colours for Switchbackabo. I'll email you the design tonight so keep your eyes peeled for it =3 *adds back*

From what you're saying, it sounds like a minor fracture. Head to a doctor ASAP, hmm?

Ow! Even if you could pop it back in it would hurt a lot and I know I wouldn't have the guts to do it if it were me. D: Doctor time, sadly.

Something like that happened to me last week. I woke up and I had sharp pain in my wrist and first two fingers on my right hand when I moved them. I was back to normal within a couple of days but it might be worth seeing a doctor just to be on the safe side.

Yeah, I also keep lying on it funny as I like to sleep with my hands tucked under my chin like a corny actress XD

Take it from someone who has dislocated both shoulders, a wrist, several toes, and one elbow, if you think its out of place you should really see a doctor. Especially as an artist, a wrist isn't anything you want to gamble with.
