I'd like to see a dollar-bill changer that will give out a $1 coin in exchange for a $1 bill.

EDIT: I've received plenty of $1 coins as change for purchases. The purpose of this machine would be to look innocuous and give $1 coins (rather than quarters) back to unsuspecting people.

All of the payment machines at the public parking garages in Pittsburgh give out change in $1 Sackagaweas.

That's funny, I'd like to see one that gives out two $1 coins in exchange for a $1 bill.

Actually on topic, post office vending machines give out change, although I think putting in a bill and asking for change will probably just get you the bill back.

That's kinda what I think of the Post Office. I was pretty unsuspecting and then I walked out of there with a pocket full of $1 coins.

So...it would have some kind of merchandise branding on the front, to suggest you were buying a soda, or something...but really you'd just get $1 coins back?

What if you used quarters? Or would everything be priced $1.00 to reduce that possibility of error?

Well, the particular change machine that brought this to mind was one that's attached to the vending machine at work. Said vending machine only takes quarters, so there's the attached dollar-bill changer. And as I was feeding my dollar bill in to get change, I thought "wouldn't it be funny if...?"
