It's wrong on all the right levels. >:) *fangirls*
I love Roman Civ - not as much as Greek, but it's up there. I can't wait till I get to hear my 500-year-old professor (who looks like Mr. Burns from the Simpsons) talk about the craziness of the emperors. XD
Re: first pic, WHAT? My brain, not computing. Tell me that is real and not shopped and my brain just might explode.
Also, re: doujinshi, wow I want that Samurai Champloo one. eBay's a ripoff, but if you can't go to Japan, it really is your next best alternative (I remember walking into K-books with my friend, and almost collapsing from the sheer gay radiating from the floor to ceiling bookshelves. Needless to say, I left hours later with a lot more shrink-wrapped goodness, and a lot less cash).
It's a shop of a cap from the latest episode, where Nena kiss-attacks Setsuna (and is promptly punched for it). XD
I adore the Champloo one so much. And eBay is a ripoff, I know that well, but these were on average about $10 each (and shipped from New York), which isn't too bad considering the usual exorbitance of doujin prices stateside.
And I pretty much had the same experience you had when I first went doujin-shopping in Japan. XD Never went to K-Books, but I made multiple trips to Animate, Book-Off, and Libro. I wound up having to buy another suitcase because I filled up mine with all the artbooks, J-rock magazines, and doujin I could get my grubby little hands on. When I came back, my parents were like "...didn't you go there to learn?".
Yeah, I pretty much figured it was shop, but hey, a girl can always hope. Having watched the episode, I lawled at the point when Mihael was like, "Fo'sho, I'd tap that ass," about Tieria and everyone else was like "..MOVING ON."
No one ever goes to Japan to study! There's too much to distract you. Man, I still remember those hot Japanese boys I ran into with my friend. Japanese boys preen more than any girl I've seen. x.X
How I wish it was real - it's actually a manip, a girl was kiss-attacking him in the original (and got punched for it), but of course J-fandom took it and ran with it. Awfully quickly, too - the episode it happens in ran not 24 hours ago in Japan. XD
