Hello again, LJ. It's been quite a leap from my last entry to this one and I don't even know where to start. Since this is more of an inner ramblings, I'll just type whatever and work my way through it.

Wimpy's failing me and seems to be on the verge of dying. It's a bit of expected from a hand-me-down, but it's still sad since I did had my hopes up

I understand the budget concern. But I hope that you will be not concerned with the "sentimental value" that Wimpy v1 holds. I would rather that you salvage Wimpy's parts (HDD, RAM [yes, RAM!]) in order to create a "new" device (once you start creating that device, of course.) :)
