Just had to reread your version because Shonda's version irritated me beyond all reason.

Apparently the story conference went something like this: How can we take a once admirable, yet realistically flawed, character and turn her into a malignant narcissist?

I know, lets have her cheat and compound it by being pissy because the person that loves you most in the world, made the unforgivable decision to save your life. She can say..."Cut off your leg and we'll call it even."

W o w.

Callie should have responded with, "You cut out my heart. You win."

Okay! Reminding myself that this is just a T.V. show.

If it makes you feel any better,in my version, off script :-), they fought too and bitter words were flung,and everything was razed to the ground, they had no hope, it was over, it was horrible, for them and all their friends and family. Their very foundations were exposed but....

"Then they talked some more until there truly was nothing left. Until everything had been stripped bare.

Until the only thing left, turned out to be love."

And hey ten years on, they are in love, they have a great family, a great life and " a gazillion times" stronger!!!
