It freaked my shit out, too. Turns out they were repeating the same two weeks over 15,000 times. And each time the loop repeated, their memories were erased and they were just left with this eerie sense of deja vu... 15,000 TIMES. Holy shit, that's creepy. D:
Well, she's not evil... She's not even conscious that any of this is going on. I mean, honestly? What fifteen year-old girl hasn't wished that summer vacation would last forever? Haruhi just doesn't realize that she's actually making it happen. Her memories are reset each time, just like everyone else's.
It's just the sheer amount of repition! Two years would be bad enough, but 600?! Although that does up the likelyhood that Itsuki might have actually kissed Kyon at least once by a fairly high percentage.

K-ON "ended" with episode 12, but there was an extra episode this week. So now it's officially over. Haruhi's only had three episodes thus far, it shouldn't take long to catch up. :D
