Wow thats so cool - I love all the bright colours of the costumes!

It reminds me of the Notting Hill Carnival we have here in London.. they might even have gombeys there - theres traditions from all different Caribbean islands there so I wouldn't be surprised if they had some Bermudian ones - I'll look out for it next time!!

You know it makes me laugh... all around the world different cultures have such fascinating and beautiful traditions and dances.. and what does England have?? Morris dancing. Its quite embarrasing. I might post a video of Morris Dancing on my journal - then you can see what I mean XDD

The costumes are pretty neat. I'm not sure if you noticed, but there was a gombey that had spongebob on his cape, lol. That's pretty new to me, actually. At first I thought I was seeing things, so I kept replaying the scene to be sure, lol.

Notting Hill Carnival sounds very interesting. So I take it they have the big trucks driving past, playing music and whatnot, right? And it would be cool if they had Bermudian gombeys down your way. I'd love to see them dance out there. :)

Lol...I'm sure it’s not that bad. :P
