Can't Keep Up With Love...

If words could only express how shocked I was when I found out one of my fellow classmates got engaged a few days ago. Her name is Marlene, and she is the exact age as me. She has been with her boyfriend for 3 years. I am very happy for her, and I am so going to go to show my support. The thing is...feels like love has yet again slapped me in the ( Read more... )

I agree with Diana, you're still young and, don't forget, plenty of people (including me) are in your position. Enjoy life while you still can :p

Maybe 'the one' isn't someone you think is right for you at first sight, maybe they only come after you've known that person a while and have gotten to know them really well. So, even if you think a girl isn't your cup of tea when you get to know them better you might find some inner quality that you love.

From my experience you can only find 'love' if you get out there and look for it. The sad fact of life is that - in 95% of cases - 'love' isn't going to come knocking on your door like in the movies.

You're an extremely social guy - it shouldn't be too hard! :-)

Yeah true that, Tom. I suppose it does kinda (really hate to admit this one) feel good knowing others are in the same boat. Hm, wonder if there is a theory as to why I feel happy about that. *look in psychology text*

Hah, I loved that cup of tea metaphor. Now that I think of it...I have met a few girls this semester and I don't feel nothing for them at the moment. Maybe something will click...I like the sound of that one! XD

Lately (through the wonders of Facebook and then spotting them in my town) I've been getting to know people I never really bothered with back at sixthform or at university. I think I've changed a lot which makes me more open to social contact these days (let's face it, I was a bit weird a few years back because something changed me for a few years and, well, it all went tits up!).

Some of these people are really interesting and great funny people and it annoys me that I didn't get to know them the first time around. Of course I can meet new people but it's always good to see people from your past (unless you hate them, lol).

Don't make the same mistake I did. You never know - one of those you left behind could be your future wife :p

Heh, and my close friend BJ (Brenda-June) asked me out to. But she is kinda spending allot of time with another close friend of mine, so I prefer not to worry bout her. But yeah, I see where you comming from, nonetheless.

Wow! Congrats to her! How awesome! Lol, and don't worry about it. That special somebody will come around eventually. If you don't find them, they'll find you. (^_^)v

And there's nothing wrong with Working, Going to school, playing Smash, and Reading. =) Hehe.

Thanks, Cassie. It feels good to still get so much caring from good old Live Journal. I think I am starting to get back into it like in the old days. Now that I have started to play less gamecube at home, I think updating a bit should be easier. But yes, I look forward to meeting "the one." ^^

*sigh* Love can be cruel.

But Love comes when you least suspect it [at least from my experiences.] Just enjoy life and see where [or to who] it takes you.
