Why, Senator! How lovely of you to take time out of your busy schedule to speak with your adoring public!

My only regret is that I don't have the time to do this kind of thing more often.

Well, I know I at least appreciate it. You're an important man, after all.

Tell us, Senator, are you able to speak at all about that dreadful episode that happened recently with the military?

Quite able and willing. Is there something in particular you would like me to elaborate on?

Senator, what is your stance on the vigilantes in your city who are taking crime and punishment into their own hands?

Although I can sympathize with someone's frustration when it seems the authorities aren't doing enough to capture criminals, in reality vigilantism only further delays the system. I could give a lecture on the importance of following the laws so that order can be maintained, but it's better to point to the facts. If the police have to be chasing vigilantes, then they have even less time to capture other criminals. I encourage anyone who wants to see justice done more quickly to go through the proper channels. Go to law school, join the police force, join the neighborhood watch... These are far more productive routes.

Have you ever been to the Abyss, Senator?

I have, many times. While I was in school I worked with numerous shelters and relief programs, and since coming to office, I opened a home for the gifted in Abyss, the operation of which I personally oversee.

A home for the gifted?

Individuals possessing abilities beyond the norm, commonly referred to as "mutants" although that is not my preferred term for these people. Extra sensory perception, precognition, psychokinesis, pyrokinesis, cryokinesis, and so on... The Home provides a safe environment for the gifted to study and further develop their abilities.

[Gathered up his courage to try again -- ah, hell, he got through, again ... trying to change his voice so that it doesn't sound like himself.]

Um, Senator, have you ever heard of ... Battle Royale?

Ah, yes, I have. Although most of my knowledge of it comes from rumors.

I'm afraid my work doesn't leave me much time to enjoy sports.

What about when you were a kid? Ever did any racing then? It's a real blast.
