Nice teaser. I finished the book (I'm not going to spoil it, but expect a written review on my blog.) But for the trailer I was thinking more on the lines of:
Theme kind fits the story. But I like the storyline. But two things. 1. Manga format: I would be cool as a manga. If you channel it to the right circle. 2. As a movie: If you make this a move please let Tyler Perry or Spike Lee direct the will do it justice. Or Make it in a Anime movie. (yes I'm a former anime fan)
With the Catholic Overtones I think that Yashiro Nightow (Gungrave, Trigun, he is of Catholic Faith) Will do it right. (no spoilers) the relationship with Noah and Cal, reminds me of Harry and Brandon (Gungrave) and Cloud and Zack (FF7). I had to use anime as a reference to picture the characters in my head.
So I think that anime would do it justice like 26 episodes to complete the novel. it would appeal to the Shounen/Seinen demographic. No ecchi.

Awesome!
The music really frightened Champagne (one of our cats) though. And she's not even a nervous, "jumpy" sort of cat! D:
