While pondering on the fact that it’s already September and this year has flown by (wasn’t yesterday New Year’s or something), I suddenly realized that my reading schedule is about to pick up with some most excellent releases.
Interesting and some books to add to my to-read. I've read Sniegoski's Remy Chandler books and I like them but they're awwwwwfully wordy at times. They're slow to develop and in an attempt to give us full emotional impact there's a lot of angsty monologuing. It doesn't help that the main character is very sad - for legitimate reasons, don't get me wrong - but I can only read so much moping. So I like it (4 fangs) but I have ISSUES
I avoided the Fallen series out of a desperate fear of books with Man Titteh on the cover (so much drek I have read, so very much drek)
You don't read books because of the shirtless hawtness. THE FUCK?!!!!!

LOL! In all seriousness, the Fallen series is a bit more fast paced than Remy Chandler and has a lot more action. I think you'll like it. It's got the standard trappings as far as urban fantasy goes, but it's well executed.
Definitely check out Witch Eyes and Demon Eyes. I think you'll especially like that series.
Oh I love LOOKING at the Mantitteh - but the books within? Oh so often so bad. I got me google images and a series of... educational websites (and a hot blond in mah bed), book covers needs more than MANTITTEH to suck me in :P
I like Urban Fantasy trappings - so it's worh it, I will give it a looksie.
Apparent proof that I'm a lesbian: I sometimes have trouble telling the difference between John Barrowman and Tom Cruise, especially when I'm low on caffeine. This led to several baffled moments wondering why you had a photo of Tom Cruise on your LJ.
