So this weekend I had the opportunity to get some much needed writing done as well as catch two films: The Woman In Black and Chronicle.

The boyfriend and I saw Chronicle last night, and while we liked it, we felt it could be summed up thusly:

Chronicle: Akira with Americans, via Cloverfield.

If I see The Woman in Black, I know I'll spend most of the time comparing how it works as a film vs a play (which, by the way, is pretty damn scary). Chronicle might be a better bet.

OMG! Woman in Black! I so agree, I would've totally burned that shit down. I get the whole Lady In White - reunite mother and child thing" but you can't fix wicked bitter overwhelming hatred.

He really stepped up tho, don't you think? Dan Rad I mean. I totally bought him as a grieving dad. I thought the ending was crap, but I really liked most of the movie, overall.

Haven't seen Chronicle yet, but I just want to mention that I'm already terrified of teenage angry white boys. This premise doesn't help.

Dan I wasn't surprised to see do an incredible job. He's always been a talented actor even before Harry Potter. Shockingly enough the angry teenage white boy anger was limited to one character in Chronicle and even he had a compelling story and motivation. It was what I thought it was. It's worth checking out if you feel inclined.

I didn't see Chronicle...An't going to cause of the fact that it plays on the troupe. If i say it, then it will be a spoiler.
