The Craft: Author vs. Writer

So my good friend and fellow novelist, Corruption author Amaya Radjani, recently penned a most brilliant piece about when a writer becomes an author based on a previous discussion she and I had.

You should definitely stop by and show her some love.

I was told by a gay writer, M.Christian, known for his extremely graphic S and M stories involving gay and transgender characters, to simply KEEP WRITING if you're going to want to be a writer. He told me, don't worry about the grammar, you can always go back and edit, just write and write your ideas, characters, and plot down, and then go back to take things from there to tidy up. I've read several of his books and his short stories, while sometimes quite gory and intense, never fail to entertain me.
