Who: Shiro, Nagi Where: Nagi's classroom When: Afternoon, after school lets out Summary: Shiro missed Nagi, and goes to pay him a visit when she sneaks out of the Alpha Omega Research Facility. Rating: PG Other: Mmmm, cookies.
Just another day in just another week -- the day had progressed remarkably uneventfully, and Nagi was quite content with the situation as such. Life was best when it was quiet and unhindered, he thought. Well -- mostly unhindered. Working through his student's assignments with a ballpoint in hand, he occasionally had to pause to puzzle through the untidy scrawls and jagged handwriting. Though that was part of the challenge, really, as was making out the cheerful stories hidden within the stumbling sentences and rambling words. Smiling, he checked off a correct answer, circling the score at the top of the sheet --
and then the door was suddenly thrown open, and Nagi started, looking up to see the door rebound off the wall, and a familiar figure standing in the doorway, one that he hadn't seen in a while. But before he could say anything, there was the figure lunging at him, and he felt the chair actually tilt back for a moment at the impact. Wheezing slightly to catch his breath, he laughed.
She swayed, unwilling to relent her bear-hug until she decided it was time to answer his question. Standing up straight, she smiled enthusiastically. "I'm good. But hungry... you know..." She peered at the paper scattered across his desk, tilting her head as her eyes scrawled over the words and red lines marking his corrections and grades. "Oooh, schoolwork? Homework is so boring! Nagi, you should do something fun with Shiro instead!"
"Something fun?" He couldn't help but give a small laugh at the suggestion. "Mmm, well, but this is my job, so I have to do this, you see. And my students worked hard on it, so I feel like I should also be working hard." Leaning back in his chair, he glanced over his desk, at the neat piles of paperwork -- and he took a moment to weigh the pile of marked pages versus what was still left to grade, before giving a small sigh.
"But -- I guess I've done enough for now. The rest can wait." Clicking his pen closed, he paused to stretch his limbs a bit, before getting up and starting to shuffle the papers away in their appropriate places. "Was there anything you wanted to go do, Shiro?"
Shiro began to look disappointed as it seemed that Nagi was going to decline her in favor of work - but her expression immediately brightened. "Yaaa~y! Let's go eat, eat! Shiro is starrrving! What do you like to eat, Nagi? Hmm... cookies? Anpan? Dumplings?" She was already salivating.
