Who: Kengamine Nagi [ striginae ] & OPEN
Where: Terra ; small park just outside the K-12 school
When: Early evening
Summary: Someone's just quietly paying their respects.
Rating: PG?
Other: Because I need to get this guy out meeting more people :|

These days, early evenings -- that awkward gap of time between when classes ended for students and work ended for adults -- were easily Nagi's favored time of day. That time when the streets were relatively quiet, especially around the school campus. He enjoyed the quiet, the calm, the freedom from strange stares and sharp whispers that weren't directed at him, but were about him. Something almost akin to peace.

It was this time that found him in the small park just outside the school grounds, standing before the newly-erected altar -- established to honor the memories of the children slaughtered in the Abyss. Not only the nine from the school -- his own students -- but also the orphans who had been involved in the travesty, forced to tear each other apart. What manner of monstrosities had they been turned into?

The park was empty, as were the streets, save the occasional passer-by, and he took this as the change to pay his respects to all the victims -- and to apologize to his students, for leaving them to such a cruel fate. Asking for forgiveness was something he dared not do -- (I'm sorry, I don't have the right to, you were involved in this only because of me) -- but maybe he could at least remember them. He had never been highly religious -- but still, he knelt before the altar, gazing at the carved nameplate, the bundle of flowers, the burnt-out sticks of incense. Unsure of what to do, what to say.
