It seemed to him that Alucard appeared to be a lot more polite than Genkaku. This may have been because the young girl did not tarnish notes that were not meant for her or rewrite them in ways that made little sense to Nataku. Regardless, while he had written that he had no opinion of her, he did decide that because of how kind she sounded in her notes that she was at the very least brought up fairly well. This seemed to be a given because of who she was living with, though ( ... )

Alucard waited for the sound of the inevitable; when it came, a bright smile flitted it's way over her lips and she headed quietly to the door, pulling it ajar and smiling demurely in greeting.

"Hello, Nataku. Please, come in."

The room was dimly lit by a single bedside lamp resting on the nightstand; the fixture in the ceiling was left turned off. She walked back towards the bed, sitting upon the edge and gesturing to one of the chairs situated by the desk against the wall. "It's nice to meet you face to face at last. This house is so big, I was afraid you might get lost on the way here, hm?"

"Good evening, Alucard." Nataku paused. "But since you are just waking up, should I say 'good morning?'" His head tilted slightly as he walked into the room; his hands resting at his side. He directed the question more to the opposite wall than her. Partially because he was not sure and because he did not wish to hurt her feelings about her odd sleeping schedule.

Careful not to bump into anything in the dimly lit room, his hands were out in front of him to search for the chair that she had directed to as his eyes had not yet grown accustomed to the dark. Nearly tripping over the chair, he plopped down rather loudly on it -- the chair shaking slightly. "I thought that I might." He agreed that he too was surprised that he did not get lost. But he was not too upset about not becoming lost; after all, it would be sadder if he had not been on time.

"You appear to be well." Small talk was not really his specialty, but he tried.

Alucard smiled dutifully at what could almost be considered a jest on behalf of her stoic company. She watched him carefully as he fumbled into his chair, quite nearly toppling it - and himself - over in the process. The important thing was that he did not, hm?

"As do you," she replied oh-so-courteously. "How are you taking to your new life here?"

Truthfully, she didn't care, but the pretenses had to be upheld, didn't they? It would be unfortunate if she were to end the game with such a trivial slip-up out of boredom.
