The door to the interrogation room was kicked open with a bang as Vargret sauntered in, and he kicked it shut behind him with an equally resounding slam, cigarette in one hand and a heft packet of files in the other. Behind his shades, the single, narrowed eye was quick to scan over the lines of text, taking in the details once more -- Larxene, part of the Neo Genesis underbelly, criminal activities, blah blah blah ( ... )

The kicking and slamming didn't prompt much of a reaction from her to begin with as she sat in the shadows, barely encouraging the Nobody to get up on the feet and sit herself down opposite of the Chief just before the harsh, commanding tone of his kicked in, only elevating his already imposing presence a couple of notches. Even a stubborn little thing like Larxene knows that someone standing seven feet tall isn't to be trifled with. But hey, the fact that she had somehow gotten the deputy police chief himself to but her in person definitely was a step up from the usual tormentors. Heartwarming, even ( ... )

Oh? What was this? Was this -- attitude that she was giving him? Oh, oh. If this was the way she was going to be -- then two could play this game. Meeting her faux-innocent smile with a wry, humorless grin, he waited until she was done before taking a long drag from his cigarette. Inhale, exhale -- he blew a smoke ring at her before giving a dramatic sigh.

"Alright, then. Have it your way." A shrug of shoulders, and he waved the packet of papers in his hand at her direction, lips curved in a sharp smile. "If you like the cells so much, I can't be so cruel as to drag you away from them. Because that would be mean, wouldn't it?" And if she was looking closely, she might have spotted the words "conditions" and "freed" written several times on one of the sheets. But only for a moment, because then Vargret was pushing the chair back and getting back on his feet. "Guess that means I'll have my men throw you back into your holding cell."

After coughing out that briefly inhaled smoke, the got a brief glance at the papers he was carrying. And with that, her face straightened, her eyes fixed onto him and her tone went to become a more cautiously curious one. Was he trying to cut her a deal? And then the tone took a turn away from the demeaning sweetness and over to her regular one, which in all honesty wasn't too much more respectful. "No, no, you're right. Maaaybe I jumped to conclusions there. Why, it'd just be heartless of me to be a parasitic infection on the city's justice system forever, wouldn't it?"

Her eyes narrowed a bit, a hint of a smirk making itself visible on her face. "Sooo, does the Chief have anything special in store for me, hmmm?" She was back to her old, rotten self.
