Lelouch walked around his home, instinctively avoiding Arthur's tail. It was a well known fact that the beast loved him, which made his visits to Lelouch's habitat an extremely annoying occurrence, since the cat would follow him wherever he went, begging for food, jumping on the furniture, mewling...

It was also a well known fact that Lelouch would rather be caught dead in a bridal gown than admitting he enjoyed all that.

There was something very positive about Arthur's unfaithful escapades though, and that was the fact that, wherever Arthur went, Suzaku would follow. Lelouch had not seen his ever busy friend in a long time, not even after he had returned from the Asylum, and that's why he waited for the meeting with no little trepidation, and couldn't help but smile a genuine happy smile when he heard the familiar knock on the door.

"Enter." He said, face automatically rearranged in a reasonably believable mask of annoyance.

Suzaku had come face to face with an annoyed Lelouch. He didn't understand why though. Why would anyone be annoyed with Arthur around? Especially since this was Lelouch, who Suzaku knew that he liked cats. So, the next thing he naturally assumed was that something else was annoying his friend.

But Suzaku's thoughts about something annoying Lelouch was pushed to the back of his head when he saw Arthur rolling around on the floor. "Arthur!!" he said happily, running over to his pet.

.....Maybe the running to the pet part was bad, because Arthur dodged Suzaku and ran over to Lelouch.

Lelouch looked down at the stupid cat, suddenly very embarrassed. He would have picked him up and given him to Suzaku right away if he didn't know the cat would sink his teeth on his best friend as soon as he had an opportunity.

So he decided to ignore the insistent mewling instead.

"It's really frustrating that it takes a runaway feline to bring you here." He muttered as he walked into the kitchen, automatically preparing tea for the two of them. Arthur, of course, followed him, long tail wagging in his wake.

"I thought you were mad at me for some reason."

And Suzaku followed Arthur who was following Lelouch. He was too busy trying to think of a way to bring back the cat home, and missed Lelouch's muttering. However, he caught the other part.

"Mad at you? Why?" he asked, his eyes still following Arthur.
