This is crazy. This is just crazy!
It really had started out like a normal day sans the awkward conversation that he was going to have with Kanji after-school. Breaktime for lunch came around and that was when his cellphone rang. He had felt relieved that it hadn't gone off in class. Really, all he would need was that sort of mark on his record. And then, his heart was racing and he was pushing past his classmates to get out of school. Teachers had called for him to stop and even one tried to grab onto his arm. The card had appeared in his hand before he even called it, being crushed and throwing the obstacles out of his way. Really, if he was revived, he was going to have a lot of explaining to do.
But what was he supposed to do? Nice that he was able to be ironical and laugh at himself, but if he didn't leave, would that agent come to kill him while he was in class? Ryou had said that he shouldn't get others involved and while he felt safer in crowds; he had to agree. Or maybe, it was the panic that had ate at him that told him to just run like his brother had said. He didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to his friends in school. None of them. His head gave a violent shake as he continued to run. It wouldn't be goodbye. He wouldn't let it be goodbye! The bastard was going to be beaten and he'd go home.
I don't want to be on the auction! All his gusto while he was talking to Ryou was leaving him as his legs were starting to feel weak. Just where was he? How far had he run? He stopped in his tracks as he thought that maybe he had gotten far enough away. Falling down on his hands and knees, he let the cellphone also drop onto the ground. A park? I ran this far? No one would think to look for me here, right? Because I am supposed to be in school? Pushing himself out of the crouched position that he was in, he sat on his legs and just took in a few good deep breathes of air. He just need a short rest then he would run again.
He could keep running like this, couldn't he? The agent was bound to get tired and give up, too, right?
