The waitress returned with his drink as requested, and Xanxus motioned for her to leave the bottle with one glass already poured. He took the tumbler in hand and gazed at the amber liquid, even going so far as to lift it up to see how the light filtered through it. The perfect color.

He glanced up when the door to the bar opened again, and he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, just a little bit. Was this the person he had agreed to meet with? They were a little...high maintenance, right? Not that Xanxus wasn't, to be sure, but not quite like...that. He snorted a little and knocked back his glass before pouring another.

It was him. This was going to be...interesting, from the look of things. "Only on days that end in y." Xanxus finally placed his glass down on the table and gestured with his hand toward the seat across from him, motioning for the other man to go ahead and sit, mostly before he changed his mind about the whole thing. "I'm going to guess you're the kind of man who prefers to be invited along instead of just dropping in."
