Deidara hung up the phone after talking to Adachi. He hadn't... really understood what the police needed him for, questions about something or other, but he was pretty sure he'd been keeping his hands clean lately, they had nothing they could hold him on. And besides that, it was Adachi he was going to see. Dumbest cop in the universe, seriously.
He wasn't worried. He left a note scribbled for Sunako and Matamune, stuck it to the fridge with a magnet and grabbed his coat and gloves. He made sure all his explosives, clay, knives, or anything remotely suspicious was out of his pockets... Just in case. He didn't think he'd get patted down or arrested, but he didn't want to tempt fate.
And with that Deidara walked out of Sunako's mansion and caught the next bus to Terra. It took him about an hour to reach the police station, and by then it was a little after dusk. He slouched his shoulders, stuck his hands in his pockets, and walked up the steps to the station, entering the lobby and giving the duty officer a friendly smile.
She glared at him suspiciously and he meandered over to the desk. "Here to see Officer Adachi, ma'am?" He offered with his most winning politeness, and was rewarded with a slight thaw in her demeanor as she pointed him down a hall. "Thanks."
