Miharu really wasn’t sure why he was out, in all honesty. It wasn’t like he had anywhere to go, anyone to see; no school to attend, no ‘friends’ to visit, and any food he bought either rotted in the refrigerator or was eaten by Yoite. (it wasn’t like the Shinrabanshou would let him die of malnutrition, after all, so he really didn’t bother with eating very often; no matter how little he ate, he didn’t fall over.) Maybe he was just out to be out, having become too much of a shut-in these days than he really should have allowed, even if it didn’t really make a difference to him. His grandmother would have told him to go out. Seiju would have told him to go out ( ... )

Shiratama had been sitting up that tree for what seemed to be ages. It was only probably a few hours, but it felt so long already. There wasn't even a lot of extraordinary-looking people that were passing by. Maybe she chose the wrong tree? Still, she stayed there, watching the throng of people pass by underneath. Eventually, she fell asleep ( ... )

Briefly, Miharu wondered if he should make his way down to Abyss; for awhile he had almost been a resident there, wandering the streets on a near daily basis. At first he had been searching for Yoite, but he hadn’t found him down there anyway. Not really. And when he had finally found him, Yoite… he hadn’t known Miharu. And after that he had just made excuses to visit, no doubt saying that he had business to take care of. Which he didn’t. He never had. He just wanted to see Yoite, who no longer knew him. (Their friendship was probably better this way, not based off threats, but... But Miharu was lying anyway, and Yoite probably knew, but that was fine ( ... )

It was him, it really really was him. Shiratama meowed again at Miharu. She felt so excited, so happy, so.. so... good. She scampered off the tree, not even minding how dangerous it was to climb down so fast, but Miharu was there standing under the tree. She wanted to be with him!

The first thing she did when she got down was rub herself all over his legs, tail curling around them, mewling as she did so. She then began purring, eyes closed and head rubbing against his foot. It felt... so nice, so wonderful just to feel his presence. As if she was reassured of something... Something good.

Shiratama began meowing again, pressing herself against Miharu's legs, front paws pawing at his legs and knees, wanting to be carried. It had been too long since he last carried her. She wanted Miharu to do it again. Pet her, stroke her back, rub her belly, carry her, let her stay on his shoulders while he walked. Shiratama wanted to catch up on all the things they missed as master and pet.
