Still, he'd made a decent cover story, or so he thought, and if one Terra brat wanted to blow things out of proportion... Not that he was, but he didn't have to know that. Turpin knew well how to play the part of injured innocence; it was a role he'd seen played countless times in the court, and sometimes it worked. If it didn't, surely that brat wouldn't say no to a little monetary reward for keeping his mouth shut. And if that failed... well, Turpin had plenty of friends on the police force, and they weren't all upright and honest citizens ( ... )

From her vantage point, she saw a man walking down the street - and older man, she could tell, from the white in his hair and the wrinkles on his face - who looked... out of place. "Fancier" than the normal pedestrian strolling along about their business. He seemed to be looking for something, too... Someone? Was this him?
She waved her mitten'd hands out excitedly, smiling towards him. "Old Mr. Computer Judge!" She called. "Shiro is over here!"

Still, he smiled at the girl, and waved slightly. "Please, call me Julius, child." What to do with her? Certainly he could take her to Elysium and show her the courthouse, as he'd promised, or he could find some secluded corner here in Terra and then leave her after having his fill...
But the boy on the computer troubled him. That was a mistake, a coverup he would have to concoct, and it served him right for not thinking, for not screening his comments to Shiro sooner. Damn. Perhaps he'd best take the girl to the proper authorities, just in case. And it would make a nice bit of human interest for his blog... And besides, albino? Too exotic for his tastes. Which was a pity - the girl seemed almost perfect in every other respect. Young, naive, just a bit stupid...
