Strange, almost, the circumstances surrounding this hour of the night-dawn. Strange, how he knew this was foolish and dangerous, and equally strange how he still moved without hesitation. Maybe it all boiled down to the raw actions and reactions, because these were the givens and this was the place -- all that was left was for him to stand up and face what he'd been fearing, what had finally caught up to him.
2:12 AM at the Liebert mansion, and any lights that were on would have flickered OFF in an instant -- the electricity cut. It wouldn't last long -- the Scar Chain's hacker was skilled, but nowhere near enough to work around the high-security network employed here -- but it was enough. And so Nagi managed to slip in through the back door in whisper-silence, letting the makeshift door key made of his blood fall apart and splatter to the floor. The only noise, the soft rasp of his footsteps on the ground, and the machine-gun rattle of his heart against the cage of his rib. The rapid-fire whirl of his thoughts, so difficult to control. (Anger. There was anger there, near-unbridled and so close to bursting free. Anger at himself for letting this happen, and anger towards the man who had once again torn his life apart.)
Pausing a moment to take in the surroundings and let his eyes adjust to the dark, he moved with purpose, eyes narrowed to a cold gaze that flickered back and forth, looking for some sign of where Selphie would be. Or Genkaku -- no doubt she would be where he was. (Time, there was no time, he'd already taken too long at this point -- true that his amputated arm and shot-through leg no longer burned excruciatingly, but it had still taken too long.) He had to find her, get her out. Top priority.
