A/N: A new one from me :) this fic would be a short multichapter fic and is inspired by Fiona Walker's novel 'Snap Happy'.
Jin crumpled the paper in front of him, sighing in frustration. He had been trying to complete the lyrics for his new song but every time he came to the second verse, every word that he wrote doesn’t seem right.
“Wow…”
He raised his head and grimaced knowing what Yuu meant. The whole room was a mess. Papers are strewn everywhere.
“Problem in finishing the song?” Yuu asked, sitting down beside him on the sofa.
Jin heaved out a loud breath. “I couldn’t find the perfect words.”
His friend smiled encouragingly and gave his shoulder a pat.
“You’ll find those perfect words soon but now, you need to pack up your things and have dinner with us.”
He smiled and nodded his head. “I’ll catch up later.”
“I’ll be waiting.”
Jin turned back to the papers in front of him and sighed.
The loud ringing of his alarm woke him up and in auto pilot he got out from his bed and walked straight to the bathroom. Bleary eyed, he stared at his own reflection in the mirror. He looked like a mess.
His hair was sticking everywhere, his eye bags are huge and god… his skin looked so… dull.
He then entered the shower and sighed in contentment when the warm water hit his skin.
Jin was applying moisturizer beneath his eyes when he heard the phone rings and not even bothering to wrap a towel around himself he walked out from the bathroom and answered the phone.
“What?”
“That’s not the proper way to answer your phone, you know.”
Jin groaned and rolled his eyes. “Hello Pi.”
“Hello Jin.”
“What is it now? Are you forgetting some things and want me to post them to you again?”
“You would not just let that go wouldn’t you?” Pi griped.
Jin snorted in amusement whilst Pi continued talking.
“I just want to inform you that the guy who swapped apartment with me already arrived there. Have you met him yet?”
And he was about to answer when he heard a surprise yelp in front of him and Jin closed his eyes, feeling his face started to heat up in embarrassment.
“Have you?” Pi asked again.
“You should have told me earlier,” Jin gritted his teeth.
“Oh,” realization dawned in Pi’s voice before a loud cackling of laughter filled his ear.
“I told you countless of times about the act of decency in the house Jin. Oh my god. He’s standing in front of you isn’t he?”
Jin wished for the floor to just open up and swallowed him whole.
“I’m turning back into my room,” the voice told him and when he heard the door clicked shut, he groaned softly into the receiver.
“Great, and for the half of this year I am going to live with someone that’s going to think that I am a pervert that likes to walk around, naked in the house.”
“You are a pervert that likes to walk around naked in the house,” Pi pointed out then started to laugh again.
“I am not going to talk to you ever again asshole.”
“Bye Jin.”
“Can I look at you now?”
Jin could feel himself flinched slightly when he heard the voice and still he didn’t dare to turn at the voice as he answered, “It’s safe now.”
“Hi,” the other greeted him, “I’m Kamenashi Kazuya.”
From the corner of his eyes, he watched the other pulled out a chair in front of him and sat down.
Jin nodded his head, sipping his hot coffee slowly, still not looking at the other.
“Hi,” he replied, “I’m Jin.”
“You’re okay with me calling you with your first name?”
Jin waved his hand dismissively. “I’m okay with it.”
It was silent for a while before the other asked, “Are you going to avoid looking at me for the whole period I’m staying here?”
Jin could hear the amusement in the other’s voice and he pursed his lips in annoyance. Yeah, he still feels embarrassed about the whole ‘bare’ incident but the way the other talked to him somehow annoys him.
“It’s not that I haven’t seen…”
“I’m looking at you now. Happy?” Jin cuts the other off and was about to snap more when he finally looked at the other.
Brown wavy hair, a pair of brown mischievous eyes framed with dark long lashes… and that lips… he had never seen a man having that kind of lips. Pouty and shiny and pink.
Then those lips curled into a smug smirk.
He sputtered inwardly and looked away.
“Tomo-kun told me that you’re an artist.”
Tomo-kun? He raised a brow.
The other ignored his silence and kept on talking.
“And that you wrote your own songs. That’s awesome. I’ve tried to write one too and Koki told me that it was great. Can you take a look at it?”
The other suddenly grabbed his hand and he almost squeals in surprise.
Jin immediately looked at the other brows knitted in annoyance and confusion. He barely knew this guy but yet he had talk to him as if they had known each other for a long time. He then looked at their hands.
“Can you let go of my hand?”
“Oh,” the other blushed, smiling shyly then let go. “Sorry, I tend to get a little affectionate when excited.”
“Look,” Jin started, “I don’t know what Pi told you about me but I don’t know anything about you. So… you should back off a bit.”
The smile on the other’s face disappeared and it made him feel bad about it. He realized that he had sounded harsh.
“I…”
The other shook his head and the smile was back, “Its fine. Yeah, we barely knew each other, its appropriate for you to feel that way.”
He watched the other stood up from the chair across him and walked towards the living room. Then the other turned to him still looking mysteriously cheerful as if Jin hadn’t talked to him harshly moments before.
“Well, got to go. Have something to do.”
And not waiting for him to say anything the other just left. Jin just stared at the empty spot where the other had been standing seconds before.
His new housemate is a very strange man.
“Pi, the guy you had your apartment swap with is a weirdo.”
“I thought you didn’t want to talk to me anymore,” Pi said teasingly and Jin groaned ignoring the teasing.
“He talked a lot and acted as if I had known him before, he even held my hand and… and… he…”
“Had a pretty face?” Pi completed his sentence and he grunted in reply.
“Having a pretty face doesn’t make someone a weirdo Jin,” his friend stated then with a mischievous tone added, “Or… are you afraid that he is tempting you enough to have a taste?”
“I liked girls with big boobs and it’s not about his face,” he told his friend vehemently although he could feel his face heated up as if he had been lying about the latter statement.
Pi laughed. “So what was this all about?”
“I… I think he’s the same with Ryo.”
“I don’t get what…”
“I think he likes men.”
Pi was silent for a while before he said, “I didn’t know that you could be…”
“No, I’m not,” Jin cuts again sounding feeling embarrassed on what he was about to say next, “I think he had the hots for me.”
His friend laughed out loud. “Oh my god, what makes you think that way?”
“The way he stared at me!” Jin practically shouted at the receiver and Pi’s laughter got louder.
“Of course he stares Jin. The first thing he saw is your dick. He just shocked to see how small it is.”
“I don’t have a small dick!” Jin protested, horrified by the statement.
“Jin, you are the weirdo. Not him,” Pi continued to cackle in amusement.
“Asshole!” he shouted tetchily then disconnect and that was when he realized that he was already arrived at the lobby of the studio. Everyone was staring at him as if he had two heads.
Jin faked out a smile and quickly made his way to the elevator. He noticed that pretty receptionist he had his eyes on all this while stifled a giggle.
Jin fumed inwardly.
The day he met Kamenashi Kazuya is the worst day of his life.
