Dear diary, life in the Cheese household is as exciting as ever.

Little Emmental is as sweet and adorable as ever, and really smart. She's the pride of any grandmother.

I was afraid of how Tilsit would react to fatherhood, and was pleasantly surprised with the way he reacted to having little Emmy in his life. He dotes on his little girl, and always has a smile on his lips, even while potty-training her.

Thankfully, he also focuses on other things, like helping around the house...

...and trying to improve himself.

And his marriage to Cadence hasn't lost its sparkle yet.
I know he doesn't like it when she talks to me about it, but I'm very happy that my daughter-in-law feels comfortable enough to ask me for hints, and am more than delighted to hear that he takes after his father in the bedroom department.

Which the activity those two have, the arrival of more grandchildren became inevitable, much to my delight.

But don't think that I'm one of those grandmothers that think only of the babies my offspring might generate. I might be family-oriented, but I have other interests as well, like doing the repairs around the house...

...spicing up my own love life...

...and trying to earn a gold badge on toy-making.

Emmental seems pleased enough with her granny's craft-making skills, by the way.

And when I'm not working, I have the company of my dear friend Mr. Bong. A girl's gotta have some fun, after all.

And besides, my other children keep on calling. Poor Stilton is always busy but she calls regularly, while Bel and Caerphilly visit often.

I'm glad they still see their old home as theirs, though I don't think Tilsit approves.

On a different note, poor Cadence worries me. You see, my pregnancies always went smoothly - I never suffered from morning sickness, back pains or any other ailments, but the poor girl is always sick. I know this is normal, but since I've never experienced those troubles I can't help but be upset.

Not even the promotions or big bonuses she keeps on getting make her feel better.

Still, the moment her belly becomes noticeable everything gets easier.

And being on maternity leave not only helps her relax, but it gives her more time to forget her job and focus on parenting. This allowed her to strengthen her bond with baby Emmy and help her little girl gain some helpful skills.

And I'm glad to see that, like me, Cadence encourages her children to sleep on a pet bed. I know that some people might get shocked with the concept, but I strongly believe that it builds character and makes them more self-sufficient and independent.

It certainly seems to be the case of Emmental, whom I think will grow up to be as talented in both arts and mechanics as her granny.

Alas, toddlerhood doesn't last forever, no matter how much one would like to freeze a moment in time for all eternity...

...and when I least expected it, my little Emmy was all grown-up.

She was a beautiful child, though, and I couldn't be prouder.

She was always bringing her little friends home with her...

...but never let their presence interfere with her studies.

Oh, but I forgot to tell you about John! He's still the same, using his talents as a famous magician for his own benefit.

He's still working, by the way. Unlike me, he never got tired of his job and never had the urge to retire. It helps that he is no longer forced to wear what his bosses tell him to; apparently, when you reach a certain age in his chosen profession, you're no longer forced to obey the dress code - unlike me, who had to wear a skimpy even after becoming all flabby.

Anyway, one day Tilsit and Cadence became a bit frisky and decided to have a date; since Cadence was as big as a blimp and felt that she could burst at any moment, the date took place a home, but they decided to call it a date nevertheless.
Things soon got a bit frisky...

...and naked...

...and lead to an accidental induced labour.

Emmental's little friend Cherry had dropped by for a visit, and witnessed it all with surprising serenity.

As for me, I freaked out. Seeing a birth from an outside angle was a totally new experience for me.

Tilsit had to rush off for work, but still managed to see the arrival of his second daughter, Gruyère.

Like her sister, little Gru was a beautiful little angel. John says all newborn babies look alike, but I don't agree. My grandchildren are prettiest than any other.

Anyway, time went on. Emmental soon joined the family tradition of playing chess...

...while I turned my attention to computer games. Gore, explosions and violence galore... I love it!

My little boy got yet another promotion...

...and the moment he arrived home Emmental rushed over to be the first to congratulate him. Aww.

The next day, Stilton called...

...and Tilsit used it as inspiration for the studying of his lines.

The success and prosperity in the family kept going. First, Cadence was promoted again, and brought along her friend Priya to celebrate. The lady spends so much time with us I sometimes feel as if she's part of the family.

Cadence didn't let her success overshadow her maternal obligations, though.

Then, Emmental arrived home with yet more great news.

An A+!

Tilsit was delighted, obviously.

Meanwhile, poor John began to show signs of fatigue. I think he's overworking himself, poor dear.

Anyway, it was soon time to celebrate Gruyère's first birthday.

She was so big now - and the spitting image of her big sister!

In order to avoid confusion when organizing our photo albums, however, we decided to give her a different hairstyle.

Anyway, as I said, things were looking well - but then, one day, the most surprising thing happened.

While trying to work on his logic skills and nurture his love for science, Tilsit was caught by a beam of light...

...and sucked to a big, green spaceship before our eyes!

John wasn't around to see it, but everybody else was in shock.

Well, everybody except me, that is. Personally, I felt it was all rather exciting.

It took me a while to reassure the girls that there was nothing we could do about it, and that it was probably a good idea to go to bed and wait for his inevitable return, since we were all extremely exhausted after a full day.

John joined us the moment he arrived home, and everything went quiet...

...apart from the sound of the TV playing in the living room. Priya was still around and didn't seem to be in any hurry to return home to her husband...

...and so she was the only person who was awake when the aliens dropped Tilsit off.

I'm afraid his return to Earth was not very smooth...

...and he's now suffering from a very sore bottom, though I can't understand why since, according to Priya, he fell face-down.

He refuses to tell us anything about what happened up there...

...but when I woke up he was brushing his teeth furiously as if his life depended on it. I'm afraid to ask why this sudden oral obsession.

As soon as he was happy with his hygiene, he rushed to bed and joined Cadence. I could hear him mutter "Ah, at last I've returned to my beloved wife, the only person in this world I want to fool around with. Yes siree, there's nobody in this entire planet that turns me on like my wife."
I think he's still recovering from shock, the poor thing.

I'm jealous, but at the same time I hope this is the last we'll hear of little green men.
