Needlessly morbid title for what's actually quite a jolly thought. I'm sitting in my room at my desk, with the curtain open for once, and it's actually quite warm. Then iTunes in its infinite wisdom decided to play Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. And the reminder of the Summer we came up with Band from the Back and instituted the Day Formally

Is the title quoting Abba, by chance?
I'm so looking forward to this Summer. My first Summer as fully myself. I can't wait! I've always felt before that my Summers have never quite lived up to the expectation of the season (I blame 'Summer of '69' for making me feel that way).
Also, yay for someone else who treats seasons as proper nouns! I didn't think it was the rule, although I've always done it.

As far as I was concerned, the title was quoting Lostprophets, but it could equally be the Abba lyric. XD
This Summer should be pretty excellent! And I know! Why does no one capitalise seasons? I've always tought you should. But then I alway capitalised dawn and sunlight until relatively recently so I don't really trust my own judgement in these matters anymore. It may well be another ofthe things my primary school erroneosly drilled into my head, like the UK being a continent. Took a long time to shift that stupid incorrect bit of trivia - I suspect the teacher couldn't tell the difference between continents and landmasses. *sigh*

Pfft, silly teacher. I had to correct teachers once or twice at school, but last year, I found it really difficult because the English teachers didn't fully grasp England, or English. Alheid believed a lot of tall tales (like 'sirloin' is named because King George knighted a steak), and although I was scared to interrupt, I still corrected her when I knew she was wrong. The others sometimes got their English a little wrong. I loved Tomas, but he said such things as describing a wide tree-lined boulevard as an 'alley' (the German word for boulevard is Allee...).
